| The best fighting game ever made gets a sequel! Or, well, the second sequel. You have no idea how much I've waited for this game. I thought all hope was lost in getting a new Rumble Arena during PS3's life cycle but right at the end of it my prayers were answered. To make my pain worse I had to wait for my pre-ordered game for almost a week after the release date had gone by.
It's an average brawler with pretty much everything changed from Rumble Arena and Rumble Arena 2, not that it would be a completely bad thing, and strangely enough while the core game seems to have been made with kids in mind, the enemy AI is relentless and actually kind of hard. I'm a bit bummed that my favorite digimon, BlackWarGreymon, did not make the roster despite being in both the previous titles and the original Battle Spirit game for GBA. Now me and my friend can't have our epic WarGreymon vs. BlackWarGreymon battles. Having him even as a color swap of the regular Agumon/WarGreymon would've been nice. The lack of virus type digimon in general here is kind of sad, since Impmon seems to be the only one. Using the same special forms for a few of the characters also seem a bit lazy, especially when there would've been other canon forms for them. The card collection was a nice addition, especially since they seem to have used the art from the old card game.
Is it anywhere near as good as the first Rumble Arena? No but it's still a nice game. Was it worth the 50€ I paid for it? No but I need to show these people, with my money, that I want these games.
This game gets a 7/10. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go unlock the rest of the characters.

Yeah. I have absolutely 0 interest in this game, but I still love the original Digimon World, and would like to see a local Vita version for both Re:Digitize and Adventure, so I kinda wanna buy it just to prove it. A lot of fellow digimon fans I've spoken to, who have played the game, feel like its mostly just to test the waters for western console gamers. I'm more interested in having it on handheld, personally, but just having Bandai Namco view us as a legitimate market, with actual profit potential is a good start.

| I really would have loved to get Digimon World DS, Dawn and Dusk released in Europe but nooooo, US is the furthest they got. At least the DS is region free so I could just import them but eh... Btw. You know what's strange? They showed Agumon from Savers in the original trailer but he is not playable in the game, not even as an alternate costume since there are none. | |

Not a big loss, if you ask me. I had trouble getting into the Digimon World DS games, since they felt a bit like they were trying to appeal to the Pokémon market. They felt about halfway between new Digimn games, and cheap Pokemon clones.

| I've played it on an emulator, quite a lot actually, and I totally loved it. I would just love to have the actual thing. | |
