| Dust: An Elysian tail, is a Indie side scrolling RPG that has you playing as Dust as you jump into the world of Elysian you will only need to play a few minutes as Dust in action before feeling attached to him. That is once you get past its beautiful graphics and colors of your surroundings pulling you thought the Glade where your story begins, to snow capped mountains to the inside of a dangerous volcano with its wondrous characters staying and all that is in between. Following the beautiful surroundings you have the intense dialog and story of each character it will catch your attention the moment someone says something, the characters emotion and personality leaves you hanging onto every word. Dust: An Elysian Tail itself was hand-drawn and animated by one developer Dean Dodrill which took him a little over 3 years to bring his world to life which is pretty impressive. Platforming feels effortless, the story was solid and it pulls you along not leaving you wondering when your going to learn more. At any moment it could give you details and clues to who Dust is and the connection to magical Blade of Ahrah that he "summoned" through their random conversations. Graphics and dialog are beautiful to the eyes and ears it was thoroughly enjoyed. Playing through i had little to no problem with its combat system other than a few actions with the dash and dust storm which can get you killed on a boss, but other than that just make sure you are ready for a fight, which within the leveling system if gives you the option to level up what you want your health, attack, defense etc. each new area brings new dangers and small puzzles with it ensuring that you stay alert, and even giving you the option to equip gear and craft gear to help you on your way over coming these new areas, so choose carefully what you want to level up and craft. Dust: An Elysian Tail gives you a solid RPG story and system set up and enough to do that insures you get the best out of what this game has to offer. The world of Elysian is overflowing with hidden treasures, secret areas, and a series of challenge areas to test your skills to the max. FossilMachine Rates this game a 9.5 -Dakota Wilkerson I would say give it a shot and let me know what you think about the game. So give it a shot and let me know what your opinion is on the game. | |
